Membership
1. Is DreamLinks really totally free?
Yes. DreamLinks is a totally free Canadian dating Web site. Once you register, you will have complete access to use all options on the Web site, including contacting other members.
2. Will DreamLinks always be free to me as a member?
At DreamLinks, our primary goal is to help bring people together, and we are completely dedicated to focusing on this goal. It is the full intention of DreamLinks management to do its best to keep DreamLinks as a free site. For complete details on this policy, please see our member Terms of Use page.
Login
1. I am having problems logging in. When I login, I keep being sent back to the Home page.
There could be a few reasons for this. In most cases, this will be caused by some setting in your browser or on your computer. If you have this problem, please try the following:
  1. Make sure you have Cookies and JavaScript support enabled in your browser. In Internet Explorer, for instance, go to your "Internet Options" and select the "Privacy" tab. Please ensure the default cookies settings are in place.
  2. Make sure that you have no software on your computer blocking DreamLinks or cookies from DreamLinks.
  3. Try clearing your browser cache and all cookies.
  4. Close all open browser windows. Open a new browser and go to http://www.dreamlinks.com. Do not access DreamLinks from a bookmark favourite. Click on the "Login" option at the top of the screen and login from the page displayed.
  5. If you are using Internet Explorer and continue to have problems, please try using the FireFox browser.
Member Profile
1. How much information should I put in my member profile?
When you register to use DreamLinks, you enter only very basic information, including your age, gender and location. Your member profile has a lot of additional information you can add to let other members know more about you. You can enter as much information as you like in your member profile. The more information you add, the easier it will be for other members to find you.
Pictures
1. Should I add a picture to my member profile?
Yes. At DreamLinks, we would like every member to have at least one picture of themselves in their member profile. Having a picture in your profile will significantly improve your chances of meeting other members. Part of the reason for this is that a picture will improve the quality of your profile and give other members a greater sense of trust when they contact you.

Please note: to maintain the quality of DreamLinks and to protect its members, DreamLinks will remove any pictures which are deemed objectionable in nature.
E-Mail
1. Will DreamLinks send me e-mail?
DreamLinks will only send you e-mail under very limited circumstances, including:
i.  When you register, you will receive an e-mail with your membership information.
ii.  When other DreamLinks members send you messages or whispers on the DreamLinks site, we will send you a notification e-mail to let you know.
2. Is it possible DreamLinks e-mail might accidentally arrive in my spam, bulk or junk e-mail folders?
DreamLinks will never send you spam, junk, or bulk e-mail. However, some e-mail companies like Yahoo, Hotmail, Google, etc., occasionally put valid e-mail in a spam, bulk or junk e-mail folder by mistake.

If you see e-mail from DreamLinks in these folders, it is important for you to add DreamLinks to your "safe" e-mail list. The way you do this varies by your e-mail provider. The following are a few examples:

Yahoo - If you use Yahoo, you can simply select the e-mail in your spam folder and click on the "Not Spam" button.

Hotmail - If you use Hotmail, you can select the e-mail in your Junk folder and click on the "Not Junk" button.

Marking DreamLinks e-mail as "safe mail" will help ensure that you never miss seeing a message from another DreamLinks member in a timely manner.
3. I am not receiving e-mail notifications when other members send me DreamLinks messages. Why?
You have probably turned off e-mail notifications in your profile preferences. You should go to the "My Profile" page, click on the "My Preferences" option, then turn on e-mail notifications.
Search
1. Should I enter a lot of search criteria on the Search Page?
Not necessarily. In most cases, you may just want to run a simple search. For instance, you might simply want to find members of a certain age and gender in a specific location. You can run an advanced search when you want to find other members based on their personal qualities or interests. For instance, you could run a search that showed you members who have certain interests, such as the types of films they like or their hobbies.
2. Can I save my search information for future use?
Yes. There is a "Save" option on the Search Criteria page to save the details of your current search.
My Matches Option
1. How does the "My Matches" option work?
Your match list is an easy way for you to see members who are possible matches for you. You control which members appear in the list by using one of the searches you saved on the Search page.
